Your first session: open, sign in, create
The game home page starts loading the browser client automatically. You can stay with the game while it loads, or read the information below it. Your browser downloads the client and the game data it needs; there is no separate native launcher to install.
Use an up-to-date desktop Chrome or Edge browser for a straightforward first visit. JavaScript, graphics acceleration, and the browser capabilities requested by the client must be available. Keep an internet connection open throughout play. A first visit can take longer because the browser has no cached game data yet.
At the login screen, follow its account-creation instructions. The current server enables automatic registration when a new ID and password are used. Choose a username you will remember and a password unique to this account; entering an existing ID signs into that account rather than creating another. Keep credentials private.
Choose your world and channel, then create or select your character. The current browser creation flow creates an Explorer beginner. Pick your name and appearance carefully, confirm the character, and enter the world. You choose your first combat class later through job advancement.
Before fighting, click the game to focus it, inspect your starter inventory, and put a healing item on a convenient shortcut. Take a moment to find the HP and MP bars. Learning how to heal and leave a map is more useful than racing into the strongest monster you can see.
Know what your EXP bar is doing
Server rates and the early-game exceptions
The configured world rates are 10× EXP, 10× mesos, 10× item drops, and 10× boss drops. The quest multiplier is 5× and the travel rate is 10×. These are the server's base settings; your effective EXP rate also depends on your level and active coupon.
| Character stage | Monster EXP before coupon | With the starter 2× coupon | Quest EXP |
|---|---|---|---|
| Beginner job, level 10 or below | 5× | 10× | 2× |
| Other characters below level 30 | 5× | 10× | 25× |
| Level 30 and above | 10× | 20× | 50× |
New characters receive a 2× EXP coupon lasting 30 calendar days. Its legacy item name may refer to a shorter standard coupon, but the starter grant uses a 30-day expiration and all-day eligibility. Its multiplier still applies to the capped early-game monster EXP rate.
Quest EXP uses a separate calculation, so the starter coupon does not turn 50× quest EXP into 100×. Quest mesos use the configured meso rate multiplied by the quest multiplier: 50× under these settings. A quest's base reward and eligibility still matter; a high multiplier does not make every quest equally useful.
Type @rates for your character's current rates or @showrates for the world, character, and coupon breakdown. Use these checks if a coupon expires, an event changes rates, or a result differs from your expectation. Drop multipliers change probabilities; they do not guarantee a particular item after a fixed number of kills.
A useful head start
Starter rewards and custom apples
Every newly created character receives five Cash Shop Surprise boxes, 100 Elixirs, 20 Level Apples, and the 30-day 2× EXP coupon. Elixirs and Level Apples are in the Use inventory; the boxes and coupon are Cash items. These are creation rewards, so signing out and back in does not replenish them.
An Elixir helps recover HP and MP. Keep healing supplies easy to reach and watch your resources during combat. The starter stock gives you room to learn; it is worth buying replacements before the last potion is gone.
A Level Apple grants one normal level while you are alive and below your current level cap. Before prestige, it gives the usual level-up AP, SP, and HP/MP gains without consuming your existing EXP or applying an EXP multiplier. Use an owned apple from the Use inventory. If it is invalid, expired, or unusable at your cap, the server keeps it.
Recommendation: use apples deliberately. You can reach an advancement gate sooner, but skipping levels can also move you beyond a party quest's level bracket before you have tried it. Review your AP, skills, and available advancement after each small batch. Regular players cannot drop Level Apples, and they are not normal Cash Shop stock. Once you prestige, Level Apples stop working for that character.
| Item | Role | Important detail |
|---|---|---|
| Floating Apple | Ten-minute flight effect | Custom Cash Shop price: 500 NX. Browser and map behavior still apply. |
| Random Apple | Travel to a randomly selected eligible player | Custom Cash Shop price: 500 NX. Restricted destinations and failed transfers are handled by the server. |
| GM Teleport Apple | Choose an eligible online player to visit | GM-issued, droppable and tradeable. All players can use an owned apple; it is not sold in the Cash Shop. |
| Sex-changing Apple | Change character gender | Custom Cash Shop price: 5,000 NX. Consider your appearance and equipment requirements first. |
| Prestige Apple | Add one spendable prestige point | GM-created and tradeable; no normal shop or monster source. It does not add a completed prestige. |
To buy a Floating, Random, or Sex-changing Apple, open the Cash Shop and search by its name. Check your NX balance and the displayed price before confirming. The purchased apple normally moves to the appropriate inventory automatically. If it remains in Cash Item Storage, double-click it there to withdraw it, then leave the shop and use it from your Use inventory. Prestige Apples and GM Teleport Apples follow the separate GM-distribution rules.
Surprise boxes award random eligible Cash Shop rewards through the surprise-box interface. They do not guarantee your preferred outfit. GM-issued items such as Prestige Apples, Invincible Apples and GM Teleport Apples have separate distribution rules; plan ordinary progression around rewards you can obtain through your own play.
Desktop essentials
Focus the game and learn your shortcuts
Click inside the game view before using your keyboard. The starting controls below apply when your character has not assigned different keys. Saved character settings can override them, so consult the in-game key configuration when an action responds differently.
| Action | Starting control |
|---|---|
| Walk | ← and → |
| Climb / enter a portal | ↑; use ↓ to move downward where available |
| Jump | Alt |
| Basic attack | Ctrl |
| Pick up nearby drops | Z |
| Inventory | I in the standard layout; or use the in-game menu |
| Fullscreen | The game's fullscreen control |
Bind your main attack skill, a healing item, and your essential buffs where you can reach them without looking away from the game. A basic attack and an assigned skill are separate actions. If you learned a skill but cannot cast it, check its level, MP cost, equipment requirement, and shortcut before assuming it is unavailable.
Game shortcuts stay with the focused client. Click outside the game before using browser shortcuts or reading the home-page information. Fullscreen is useful when you need more room, but availability depends on your browser; you can continue in the normal page view.
Phones and tablets
Landscape touch controls
Rotate your device sideways for the game view. The on-screen movement pad lets you move left and right; tap up to jump or hold up to move upward. Open Controls to configure your touch hotkeys for skills and items. Keep a healing hotkey accessible before you enter a difficult map.
When an in-game interface opens, window mode provides a Close window action. A two-finger tap closes an interface, and a pinch gesture can request fullscreen. Some browsers need manual rotation or do not provide element fullscreen. If your device reports missing capabilities or cannot run the client comfortably, continue from a current desktop Chrome or Edge browser.
Recommendation: learn your character's controls in a quiet map before mobile combat. Small screens make overlapping windows and precise inventory actions harder. Finish a trade, equipment change, or key setup while you can read the confirmation clearly, then return to the game view.
Helpful chat shortcuts
Commands available to ordinary players
Enter commands in game chat, beginning with @. Close an active NPC conversation first when necessary. The command list shown by @help is the quickest reference for your current account.
| Command | Use |
|---|---|
@help / @commands | Display available commands. |
@advance | Review a job advancement available for your current class and level. |
@rates | Show current character EXP, meso, and drop rates. |
@showrates | Show the world, character, and coupon breakdown. |
@dispose | Close a stuck NPC or quest conversation and restore actions. |
@str 5, @dex 5, @int 5, @luk 5 | Spend up to that amount of available AP on the selected stat. |
@toggleexp | Toggle ordinary EXP gain. Check this if progression unexpectedly stops. |
@gacha Henesys | List the named town's Gachapon rewards; it does not give a ticket or reward. |
@online | Show online information. |
@points | Show reward/vote point balances. Prestige points are shown by the Maple Administrator. |
AP commands can use all available AP when you omit an amount, so start with a deliberate number. A command does not create extra AP. @dispose closes a conversation; it does not erase completed quests or restore spent items.
Normal players travel through the world and its items. @goto is a staff command, and the current map-ownership system is disabled. Treat shared training maps considerately and arrange a channel change with other players when useful.
Choose your path
Job advancement uses a level-gated choice
MuahStory provides an optional advancement conversation when you reach a job gate. Accept your preferred job, or choose Not now and return with @advance. For the custom advancement route, availability comes from your current job and level; you do not need to copy the old stock advancement quest checklist to open that menu.
An Explorer can become a Magician at level 8. At level 10, all five Explorer first-job choices are available: Warrior, Magician, Bowman, Thief, and Pirate. Later gates are level 30, 70, and 120. Your second-job branch determines your later path; think about the weapon and style you enjoy before confirming it.
| First job | Second job | Third job | Fourth job |
|---|---|---|---|
| Warrior | Fighter | Crusader | Hero |
| Warrior | Page | White Knight | Paladin |
| Warrior | Spearman | Dragon Knight | Dark Knight |
| Magician | Fire/Poison Wizard | Fire/Poison Mage | Fire/Poison Arch Mage |
| Magician | Ice/Lightning Wizard | Ice/Lightning Mage | Ice/Lightning Arch Mage |
| Magician | Cleric | Priest | Bishop |
| Bowman | Hunter | Ranger | Bowmaster |
| Bowman | Crossbowman | Sniper | Marksman |
| Thief | Assassin | Hermit | Night Lord |
| Thief | Bandit | Chief Bandit | Shadower |
| Pirate | Brawler | Marauder | Buccaneer |
| Pirate | Gunslinger | Outlaw | Corsair |
If a dialogue was already open when you crossed a gate, close it and use @advance. Advancing your job unlocks the corresponding skill tier; it does not mean every new skill is already maxed. Review your skill book and available SP afterward.
The server also has advancement routes for existing Cygnus and Aran characters at 10, 30, 70, and 120 where applicable. The browser's current new-character screen follows the Explorer route. Ordinary player progression is capped at level 200, including the server's Cygnus progression, so stock guides assuming a permanent Cygnus level-120 endpoint do not describe this server.
A practical roadmap
Leveling from your first map to 200
The stages below are recommendations, not a measured fastest route. Your class, available party, gear, potion budget, and preferred activities change the best choice. Compare how comfortably you defeat monsters and complete quests instead of choosing a map solely because someone calls it an EXP hotspot.
Levels 1–10: controls, starter items, and first job
Learn movement, attacks, pickup, and potions in the starting area. On the normal Maple Island crossing, Shanks takes you to Lith Harbor at level 7 or above for 150 mesos. A Lucas recommendation letter changes the crossing requirements and waives the fee. Keep space in Use inventory for the one-time town-scroll gift.
The starter-area Maple Administrator also provides a tutorial-skip option to Lith Harbor. That route is convenient, but the Shanks scroll bundle belongs to the normal crossing; skipping is not a promise of the same gift. At level 8, review Magician if you want it; otherwise choose your first job at 10. Spend starter apples only as quickly as you can keep up with these decisions.
Levels 10–30: build a reliable first-job routine
Try nearby Victoria Island quests and monsters you can kill consistently. Assign a useful attack, keep potions stocked, and check required stats before buying your next weapon. Henesys PQ accepts level 10 and above with the required party size; Kerning PQ has a 21–30 bracket if you want an early group activity.
Quest EXP becomes more generous once you are outside the novice beginner exception. Keep an eye on quest requirements and inventory space, and finish a useful chain while you are already in its area. At 30, use @advance and review your new skills rather than continuing indefinitely with a first-job toolkit.
Levels 30–70: improve skills and try group content
Use second-job attacks and buffs to improve your routine. Upgrade gear when it makes a noticeable difference to consistency or survival. Ludibrium PQ covers 35–50, Ellin PQ has a 44–55 Explorer bracket, and Orbis or Ludibrium Maze PQ cover 51–70. Party availability determines whether these are practical during your session.
Travel with a purpose: combine a quest destination, shop visit, and training area rather than making repeated empty trips. Watch the upper limit of a PQ bracket if you want to experience it before leveling out. At 70, third-job advancement becomes available.
Levels 70–120: strengthen your setup
Build around your third-job strengths and try different maps whose monsters fit your damage, reach, and movement. Magatia PQ's installed bracket is 71–85; Pirate PQ runs through 100. Use group play when your party's levels and goals fit together.
Start planning sustainable potion use, ammunition, and equipment upgrades. A boss's entry level is an eligibility threshold, not a recommendation that you can defeat it at that level. Read the boss section before committing expensive supplies. Fourth-job advancement opens at 120.
Levels 120–200: prepare your first prestige
Develop your fourth-job skills and a repeatable EXP routine you enjoy. Improve the equipment that supports that routine, and learn relevant boss access requirements through their NPCs. Keep a reserve of mesos and supplies so an expensive upgrade does not leave you unable to train.
Before 200, decide which prestige reward matters to your build and prepare a way to travel after the reset. Your next loop starts at level 10 while retaining your class and learned skills. Equipment requirements still apply, and Level Apples cannot shortcut a prestige loop. Read the reset checklist before confirming.
After 200: build toward your own end-game goals
MuahStory's end game continues through repeated prestige loops, permanent reward choices, equipment improvement, and harder boss attempts. Keep your earned stats and learned skills, return to 200 through EXP, and decide whether the next point buys a useful foreign skill, world-map instant travel, or stays saved toward the equipment unlock or a GM Power Scroll. Previously earned levels do not grant another set of AP/SP or maximum HP/MP gains; the loop rewards planning rather than an automatic stat multiplier.
Recommendation: turn each loop into a specific improvement: a weapon-compatible support skill, a stronger main weapon, more dependable resource use, or practice with the next boss phase. Begin with a fight you can repeat safely, then follow the suggested solo route as your build improves. Prestige rewards can make solo end-game clears possible, but a menu purchase alone does not prove that every boss is ready for your character.
Keep the adventure moving
Travel and inventory habits
Shanks' qualifying first crossing awards five return scrolls for each of seven Victoria Island destinations: Lith Harbor, Ellinia, Perion, Henesys, Kerning City, Sleepywood, and Nautilus. The receipt is saved for that character, and a completed crossing or previous gift prevents repeat grants. Free space in Use inventory is required.
Keep a town-return option and healing supplies available. Check the destination before using a named scroll. Boats, transport NPCs, portals, and map restrictions still determine access to other regions; the configured travel multiplier does not create a universal teleport command.
A GM Teleport Apple opens a list of eligible online players in your world. Choose the player you want to visit; the server moves you to their current channel, map and position. Ordinary players follow the same destination restrictions as Random Apple. Only a GM can create these apples, but any player who receives one can use, drop or trade it. They are not Cash Shop stock. One apple is consumed only after a successful arrival; cancelling the menu or a failed transfer keeps it.
Sort and merge inventory items when space gets tight. Sell or store items deliberately and leave room for drops, quest materials, and rewards. A full inventory can block a reward even when you have met the combat or quest requirement. Inspect Cash and untradeable flags before dropping anything; some restricted items are removed rather than becoming a safe ground transfer.
Recommendation: before a long trip, finish selling ordinary unwanted drops, refill supplies, and decide which quest materials to keep. Before a prestige reward purchase, leave an appropriate free slot. These small checks prevent unnecessary return trips and failed transactions.
Build a character that works
AP, SP, equipment, scrolling, and supplies
Spend AP and SP with a purpose
AP improves your character's ability stats; SP improves learned skills. The server does not automatically spend beginner AP for you. Inspect the stat window and the requirements of the weapon you plan to use before assigning a large amount.
Recommendation: favor the stats your chosen class and weapon need, while meeting necessary secondary-stat requirements. Use a small explicit amount with AP commands if you want to verify the result. Read skill descriptions, prerequisites, and MP costs before committing SP. A saved point is useful when you are still deciding; spending blindly is harder to correct.
The server enforces job SP accounting and retrieves missing eligible SP when you advance. Check your job and skill tier when a skill cannot receive points. A maxed foreign skill purchased through prestige is a different system from spending ordinary SP.
Read equipment requirements
Level, job, ability stats, fame, and equipment-slot compatibility can affect whether an item is usable. Owning an item does not waive those checks. Use its tooltip and the server's rejection message to identify the actual requirement before buying replacements or resetting stats.
Cash appearance equipment and ordinary stat equipment occupy different roles. Review both layers when changing a weapon or outfit. Normal equipment does not gain additional item levels from grinding under the current disabled equipment-leveling setting.
The permanent all-class equipment unlock removes a job restriction. Current level, stats, and other requirements remain. After a prestige reset, having previously used a high-level item does not make a new attempt to equip it at level 10 automatically valid.
Scroll carefully
For ordinary scrolling, read the scroll's equipment category, success chance, and remaining upgrade slots. Perfect scrolling is disabled, so ordinary failures can spend a slot. A White Scroll or another special scroll has its own behavior and cost; make a deliberate choice in the scrolling interface.
A prestige GM Power Scroll is a distinct reward with its own rules. It adds 1,000 weapon attack and 1,000 magic attack, succeeds without spending an upgrade slot, and does not consume a White Scroll. The item stat limits still apply. Read the full reward guide before saving or spending 25 points.
Ammunition and healing are part of your budget
If your attacks use throwing stars, bullets, or arrows, check that you have compatible ammunition and enough quantity before leaving town. Stars and bullets have premium full-stack shop price floors of 10, 25, 75, or 150 million mesos depending on their attack tier; an existing higher shop price can remain. Buying a new stack and recharging an owned stack are different expenses.
Keep enough HP/MP supplies for your chosen activity. Your starter Elixirs are a useful reserve, but gear upgrades do not remove the need to heal. Put healing and essential buffs on reachable hotkeys, and read the effect of any special apple before consuming it.
Play together
Parties and party-quest brackets
Create or join a party through the in-game party interface, agree on a channel, and gather at the recruitment map. The leader normally speaks to the entry NPC. A party member in the wrong map, outside the level bracket, or unable to enter can make the eligible group too small.
| Party quest | Levels | Members | Extra note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Henesys | 10+ | 3–6 | Gather at the Henesys recruitment area. |
| Kerning | 21–30 | 3–4 | Leader and eligible members must be together. |
| Ludibrium | 35–50 | 5–6 | Observe the upper level limit. |
| Ellin | 44–55 | 4–6 | Explorer characters only. |
| Orbis | 51–70 | 5–6 | Use the event's recruitment area. |
| Ludibrium Maze | 51–70 | 3–6 | A separate activity from Ludibrium PQ. |
| Pirate | 55–100 | 3–6 | Confirm entry with the local NPC. |
| Magatia, either side | 71–85 | Exactly 4 | Gather at the selected side's recruitment room. |
EXP sharing requires living eligible members on the same map and channel. With current level enforcement, a recipient must be at least monster level minus five, or a contributing party member's level minus five. There is no upper-level cutoff in that eligibility rule. Damage contribution, level-weighted sharing, and other modifiers still determine the amount.
Solo expedition support does not make ordinary party quests solo activities. Coordinate roles, healing, and stage instructions with your group. If a stage or interaction fails, record the map and action and ask for help rather than treating a failed attempt as proof that your party's composition is wrong.
Guild creation permits a one-person founding group on this server, while the guild NPC's other requirements still apply. Use chat, buddy lists, guilds, and the Telegram community to find people with similar progression goals.
An end game to build toward
Solo bossing: from Papulatus to Pink Bean
Prestige gives MuahStory a progression path beyond your first level 200. Retained stats and learned skills provide the foundation; permanent foreign-class skills, the job-equipment unlock, and stronger scrolled equipment can turn that foundation into a character capable of solo end-game bosses. Your choices must fit your weapon, resources, and the encounter. Repeating levels gives no automatic damage multiplier, and adding several skills with similar effects does not mean all of those effects stack.
The current server enables solo expeditions, so qualifying expeditions can start with one registered member. Papulatus also supports a real party of one, which its entry NPC can create if needed. Level gates, access items, NPC registration, occupied rooms, and boss mechanics remain. The boss is not weakened just because you entered alone.
Recommended practice route: Papulatus → Zakum → Scarlion/Targa → Horntail → Pink Bean. Treat this as a learning sequence, not a rule that every class finds each fight equally difficult. Use a group whenever you want help learning a phase. The minimum level below only establishes entry eligibility; it does not establish enough HP, damage, potions, or experience for a solo clear.
| Encounter | Minimum level | Fight timer | Practice focus |
|---|---|---|---|
| Papulatus | 1 in the event rules | 45 minutes | Reliable healing, rebuffing, and the final form. |
| Zakum | 50 | 120 minutes | Eight arms, body transitions, and immunity windows. |
| Scarlion / Targa | 100 | 60 minutes | Successive forms, immunity, and changed controls. |
| Horntail | 100 | 120 minutes initially; main-body summon starts a 60-minute timer | Head rooms, multipart positioning, and seduce. |
| Pink Bean | 120 | 140 minutes | Guardian waves, counters, zombify, and strict death management. |
The optional general daily expedition-entry limit is currently disabled. Instance reservations, event timers, access requirements, and membership checks still apply. Use the actual NPC message if entry fails.
Access items: ordinary routes and Cody's shortcuts
Follow the encounter's ordinary access quests if you want that route. Alternatively, find Cody in Henesys for the custom boss-access item shop. The items below support specific prequest or trial shortcuts; buying one does not teleport you straight into a running fight, guarantee a free room, or replace the expedition start procedure. Check Cody's displayed price before purchase.
| Item | Price | Use and limitation |
|---|---|---|
| Eye of Fire | 10 million mesos | Held-item alternative to the Zakum prequest gate; also required by the expedition leader and used at the summoning altar. |
| Piece of Cracked Dimension | 15 million mesos | Held-item shortcut past the Clock Tower quest diversion; drop a piece at Papulatus's dimensional hole to summon. |
| Spirit of Fantasy Theme Park | 25 million mesos | Required for Scarlion/Targa expedition creation and each boss's summoning offering. Prepare separate offerings if summoning both. |
| Dragon Elixir | 30 million mesos | Transformation route through Horntail's cave entrance. This alone does not replace the later Dragon Squad access checks. |
| Certificate of the Dragon Squad | 50 million mesos | Reusable held certificate supports the cave entrance and direct Dragon Squad recruitment route. Carry one; these access checks do not consume it. |
| Marble of Chaos | 75 million mesos | Held-item shortcut through Temple of Time quest gates on the Pink Bean route. It is an access item, not the guardian-wave reactor offering. |
Keep the required item with the character who speaks to the entry NPC. Register, gather at the correct recruitment map, and use the leader's start option where required. A solo player still follows that sequence. A Horntail character using the ordinary proof-certificate route should follow its NPC instructions; solo support also permits the holder of all three proof certificates to bypass the group trial. The reusable Dragon Squad certificate is the simpler custom shortcut when you have chosen to buy it.
Prepare a working build before buying an attempt
- Make your main attack work first. Confirm its weapon type, ammunition, MP cost, and hotkey in ordinary combat. Keep a usable weapon for your current level after a prestige reset. The job-equipment unlock removes a class restriction, while level, stats, and slot requirements remain.
- Plan foreign skills by role. Choose a useful damage support, defense, mobility, resource, or status-management role that your setup can actually use. Read the weapon and resource requirements before spending a point. Equivalent passives or buffs may use the strongest applicable effect rather than adding every copy together. Test one change before spending the next point; the multi-class boss-build guide explains the tradeoffs.
- Prepare HP and MP for the whole fight. Bind potions where you can reach them under pressure, bring replacements, and leave enough mesos to restock afterward. Judge supplies by a practice attempt's consumption rather than by a universal potion count. A strong weapon does not protect you from contact damage or a failed heal.
- Carry appropriate status support. All-Cure can remove curse, darkness, poison, seal, weaken, and slow. It does not clear every boss effect: stun, seduce, reverse controls, and zombify need separate handling. Some skills or special items can remove particular additional conditions, but eligibility, cooldowns, and timing still matter. Do not plan around repeatedly spamming a cure skill without checking its reuse rules.
- Set up your inventory and browser. Leave room for useful drops, bring the correct access and summon items, recharge ammunition, and close unrelated resource-heavy tabs. Keep the game focused and your connection stable. Learn an exit route before committing to a long fight.
- Know what a failed attempt teaches. Decide whether you are practicing entry, a phase transition, survival, or a complete clear. Record the failing phase, status, potion usage, and remaining timer. Fix that specific problem before buying more supplies or unrelated skills.
For a prestige build, combine rewards deliberately. A permanent foreign skill can solve a specific problem; the 10-point equipment unlock can make the required weapon usable across classes; a 25-point GM Power Scroll adds 1,000 weapon attack and 1,000 magic attack to eligible equipment under its stat limits. These rewards can help enable solos that your first build could not manage. They do not make incompatible attacks usable or negate an encounter's counters and status mechanics.
Choose Normal or Hard before starting
The six encounters below offer Normal and Hard at their fight entry. For an expedition, create or join as usual; the leader speaks to the recruiter again, selects Choose Normal or Hard and start, chooses the mode, and confirms. Registered members enter that same locked mode while the entry window is open. Papulatus uses its Machine Room portal dialogue: the party leader chooses the mode, and a solo entrant can use a one-person party. The existing level, summon-item, room, registration, and attempt checks still apply.
| Encounter | Hard tier | Entry |
|---|---|---|
| Papulatus | 1 | Machine Room portal / Tombstone dialogue, Deep Inside the Clocktower |
| Balrog | 2 | Mu Young, Bottom of the Temple |
| Zakum | 3 | Adobis, Entrance to Zakum Altar |
| Horntail | 4 | Mark of the Squad, Entrance to Horntail's Cave |
| Scarlion and Targa | 4 | Aldol, Entrance to the Spooky World |
| Pink Bean | 5 | Forgotten Temple Keeper, Forgotten Twilight |
Hard phases have 10× normal HP, including health above 2.147 billion, and deal 50× outgoing damage. A phase with 2.1 billion normal HP has 21 billion HP in Hard. The original boss bar shows the correct proportion of remaining health. Each eligible final Hard boss body guarantees the material stacks and NX vouchers below. Potential cubes and Star Catalysts are selected randomly from that tier's pool, with repeats possible; higher tiers unlock more cube families. Existing bonus rolls can add more material stacks of the same size, and drop-rate modifiers cannot reduce guaranteed rewards. Regular items, quest loot, mesos, and Reveal Scrolls do not drop; preliminary parts and summoned monsters provide no rewards. Normal fights keep their usual loot. Enhancement materials are unavailable in NX/NPC shops and player markets. Cancelling the choice does not spend a summon offering or an attempt.
| Hard tier | Material stacks | Items per stack | Minimum material items | NX from vouchers |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 5 | 1 | 5 | 5,000 |
| 2 | 10 | 2 | 20 | 20,000 |
| 3 | 15 | 3 | 45 | 45,000 |
| 4 | 20 | 4 | 80 | 80,000 |
| 5 | 25 | 5 | 125 | 125,000 |
NX vouchers are stacks of existing 250-NX cards. Picking up a stack credits its full quantity, including pet pickup. Rewards use the fight's usual ground-loot ownership rules; the listed NX is shared loot per final boss body, rather than an automatic grant to every participant. If your NX balance cannot hold the complete stack, the voucher stays on the ground so you can spend NX and retry before it expires.
1. Papulatus: learn a complete fight
Go through the Ludibrium Clock Tower route and speak to the entry NPC for the Papulatus battle. With a Piece of Cracked Dimension in your inventory, the current portal route can bypass its Clock Tower quest diversion. The NPC supports a one-person party and only one party occupies the room at a time. Inside, drop a piece at the dimensional-hole reactor to start the encounter.
The fight moves from its clock encounter into the separate final Papulatus form. Do not assume the first form's defeat is the end. The clock phase can summon monsters, stun, slow, and dispel buffs. Keep an eye on your active buffs and HP/MP rather than continuing a rotation from memory after a dispel.
Practice recommendation: learn to enter, summon, recover from a lost buff, and reach the final form with supplies left. Reapply a survival buff before chasing damage when it has disappeared. A repeatable full clear is a more useful readiness signal for the next step than one unusually lucky attempt. The event's level-1 minimum does not make this a beginner training fight.
2. Zakum: arms first, then three bodies
Reach Zakum's entrance and use either the ordinary prequest route or the held Eye of Fire alternative. The leader still needs an Eye of Fire when creating the expedition. Register and start through the local NPC, then use an Eye of Fire at the altar to summon. Having the item does not override an occupied room.
The summon produces eight arms. After the eight arms are gone, the first of three successive body forms becomes active. Budget your potions and timer for that full sequence. The body can summon support monsters and use physical or magic immunity; its attacks can also cause seal or stun. An immunity window is a reason to reassess your attack and rebuff, not to assume your keyboard stopped working.
Practice recommendation: watch how your main skill reaches the arms and whether changing position exposes you to more damage. Save enough resources for the bodies. If you can clear the arms but cannot sustain the body stages, improve your survival and supply plan before measuring the run only by damage. Physical and magic attacks have different compatibility checks even on a multi-class character.
3. Scarlion and Targa: plan for the later forms
Follow the Malaysia Fantasy Theme Park access route and speak to the Scarlion/Targa expedition NPC. The leader needs a Spirit of Fantasy Theme Park to create the expedition. The two summoning reactors each take a Spirit offering: one summons Targa, the other Scarlion. If you intend to summon both, prepare an offering for each rather than relying on a single item for both reactors.
Each boss has three successive forms. The encounter includes physical and magic immunity, summons, and status attacks; later forms can reverse your controls, and Targa can stun. A form transition is not a safe assumption that the encounter has finished. Recheck the visible boss, your buffs, and remaining supplies as it changes. A full expedition clear requires defeating both bosses' final forms. Practicing one boss's phases is a useful milestone, but it does not finish the expedition.
Practice recommendation: learn one boss's phases before adding the second if the room and NPC options permit your chosen approach. When controls reverse, pause long enough to identify the effect and move deliberately. Maintain healing access without depending on a normal movement pattern. A stable clear should include the last form, not just fast damage on the first.
4. Horntail: access, two head rooms, and the main body
Horntail access has several steps. The cave entrance accepts the Dragon Elixir transformation or a held Certificate of the Dragon Squad and still checks level 100. The transformation is entrance help, not a complete replacement for the later recruitment route. The reusable certificate also supports direct travel to the Dragon Squad recruitment map. If using the normal quest-and-proof route, follow those local NPC checks instead.
The battle includes two preliminary head rooms before the multipart main fight. The connecting portals require the relevant heads to be defeated. Learn those rooms as part of the attempt rather than treating the body as the entire event. The initial timer is 120 minutes; summoning the main body starts a separate 60-minute timer.
Heads and main-fight parts can use physical or magic immunity, summons, and seduce. Seduce can take away normal control, so a build that only works while you freely reposition and cast on demand may fail here. All-Cure does not remove seduce. Status-removal options have their own availability and reuse rules; stronger attack stats do not remove the need to prepare for forced behavior.
Practice recommendation: progress in milestones: get through access, finish both head rooms, then learn where your attack reaches the body's parts without unnecessary contact. Watch your HP and buff state when control returns. Use the main-body timer and the number of surviving parts to judge whether the next improvement should be damage, positioning, or survival. There is no universal target order that guarantees a solo clear for every weapon and skill combination.
5. Pink Bean: guardian waves, counters, and death management
Reach the Temple of Time route and follow Pink Bean's expedition NPC. A held Marble of Chaos provides the custom shortcut through the Temple's quest gates; you still need level 120, registration, a free instance, and the start procedure. The marble serves access. The later guardian-stage reactor offering is produced by the encounter itself, so do not confuse the access purchase with an instruction to drop your marble at that reactor.
The event starts with an invulnerable waiting Pink Bean and advances through five guardian waves. There are 15-second starts or breaks as waves advance. After the guardian sequence, the event produces the reactor offering that removes the waiting boss and brings out the actual Pink Bean. An apparently harmless waiting boss or a pause between waves does not mean the fight is over.
Guardians and the actual boss can use damage-counter effects; Pink Bean also has seal, stun, reverse controls, seduce, and zombify. Observe the state of your actual target before attacking into a counter. A larger attack stat does not make that state safe, and borrowing a magic skill does not mean you can ignore a matching magic counter.
Zombify deserves a separate plan. It reduces ordinary potion HP recovery and can turn a healing skill into damage. Do not repeatedly cast Heal just because that worked in earlier fights. Watch the condition, use an appropriate available removal option if you have one, and verify that your healing plan works under the encounter's current status. All-Cure does not remove zombify or reverse controls.
The event tracks deaths across the expedition. The fifth recorded death ends the expedition immediately. That is a shared failure rule, not a promise of five free revives. A solo player should prepare to survive rather than budgeting deaths as a supply. Disconnects, leaving the instance, or other event conditions can also end an attempt.
Practice recommendation: first understand guardian activation and the dangerous target states, then establish dependable survival in the actual boss phase. Track which effect caused a failed heal or movement mistake. Aim to preserve control of the run over the long timer; high damage with repeated counter or status deaths is not a dependable solo build.
Decide when to move to the next boss
Recommended readiness checklist: you can enter and summon without confusion; your main attack and borrowed skills work with your equipped weapon; you can recognize the current phase and immunity or counter state; your healing survives the encounter's relevant statuses; and you finish practice with a sustainable supply budget. Check the timer during the later phases, not only during the opening burst.
If you fail, change the smallest part of the build that addresses the cause. A damage shortage may justify a weapon upgrade or saving toward a scroll; a seal problem may call for reachable cures; a borrowed skill that cannot cast may require the correct weapon rather than more points; a zombify problem needs a different healing response. Keep a short note of the phase and issue, then retest that change in a manageable fight.
Plan the next prestige loop around that lesson. Retain your working skills, earn the next point, and either buy a compatible improvement or save toward a larger reward. Read the prestige solo-build section and foreign-skill eligibility before purchasing. For an encounter interaction that appears broken, report the boss, map, phase, action, and displayed message in the Telegram community.
Make each upgrade count
Mesos, earned NX, shops, and rankings
Mesos fund travel, potions, equipment, ammunition, and other services. Pick up ordinary drops, sell unwanted tradeable items deliberately, and compare an upgrade's benefit with the supplies it would consume. Keep enough working money to continue playing after an expensive purchase.
Eligible ordinary monster kills have a separate one-in-25 chance to drop a 100-NX card. Picking up one card credits 100 NX; stacked NX cards credit the full quantity. This custom roll is separate from the normal 10× item-drop rate; it is not a 40% rate and does not promise a card every 25 kills. Random streaks are expected. Hard boss final bodies use their guaranteed tier-based NX vouchers described above.
Use your current Cash Shop balance and displayed price to plan purchases. Appearance items, conveniences, boxes, coupons, and custom apples have different roles. A random box is a random reward, and a rate coupon's expiration matters. Keep valuable Cash items in their intended inventory and check trade restrictions.
Inkwell's premium meso shop is a separate option from ordinary town supplies. Reference prices for this premium shop are 5 million mesos for Elixirs, 10 million for Power Elixirs, 45 million for White Scrolls, 70 million for Chaos Scrolls, and 10 million for Onyx Apples. Check the current stock each visit: the price shown in the shop is authoritative.
Player shops and hired merchants have their own item, permit, placement, and interaction requirements. Server support for shops beyond Free Market maps does not remove those requirements. Check an item's flags and both trade windows before accepting a transaction; ordinary Cash and pet merchant restrictions are enabled.
The Hall of Heroes shows total XP, mesos, and NX leaderboards with movement against the previous available daily snapshot. These are separate measures. A high balance is not the same as a strong combat build, and daily ranking movement is not a promise of a live real-time update for every action.
Your adventure continues after 200
End-game prestige: retain your build, earn a new reward
At level 200, talk to the Maple Administrator in Henesys, toward the right side of town, and choose Prestige. Confirming resets your character to level 10 with zero EXP, adds one completed prestige, and gives one spendable prestige point. Earn EXP back to 200 to repeat the loop.
You keep your current class, learned skills, earned ability stats, available AP/SP, maximum HP/MP, inventory, mesos, and permanent unlocks. Repeating previously earned levels does not award another set of AP, SP, maximum HP/MP gains, or milestone inventory expansions. Prestige provides no automatic damage multiplier.
That retained foundation makes repeated progression useful: you can return to 200 with your established skills and work toward permanent improvements that support harder solos. Choose compatible foreign-class skills for specific roles, unlock another class's equipment when its weapon supports your plan, and strengthen suitable gear with prestige scrolls. Your character's end-game power comes from that working combination, not from assuming all skills stack or every boss becomes easy after one reset.
| Cost | Reward | Key condition |
|---|---|---|
| 1 point | One eligible maxed foreign-class skill | Unlearned eligible skill; weapon, ammunition, and normal use requirements can still matter. |
| 3 points | World-map instant travel | Permanently lets the character click World Map destinations for immediate travel; the unlock survives channels and reconnects. |
| 10 points | Permanent all-class equipment permission | Removes job restriction, while level, stats, and other requirements remain. |
| 25 points | One GM Power Scroll | Adds 1,000 weapon attack and 1,000 magic attack; equipment stat limits still apply. |
Skills in your own advancement path, already learned skills, beginner skills, GM skills, and other excluded skill types are not ordinary menu rewards. A sibling branch can qualify, but your current job's earlier and later stages do not. The menu presents eligible choices. A borrowed skill does not change your job or grant staff permissions, and a skill requiring a particular weapon still needs the right setup.
After reset, current-level equipment checks still apply. The server retains earned ammunition-level eligibility, which helps with previously unlocked ammunition, but that is different from bypassing gear requirements. Level Apples are rejected after your first prestige; plan your repeated loops around EXP.
A GM-created Prestige Apple adds one spendable point when used, without changing your level, EXP, or completed-prestige count. Its availability depends on an actual GM distribution; it is not an ordinary grind drop or normal shop purchase.
Read the full prestige handbook, especially the reset preparation, reward choices, equipment-unlock limits, and multi-class solo boss builds. Decide whether your next point should improve your current routine or stay saved toward a larger reward, then use the boss practice route to measure that improvement.
Contact the team
GM requests and GM contributor participation
Top-tier players who have reached more than 100 prestige points can request to become a GM by contacting a GM in the MuahStory Telegram community. This is a request to staff, rather than an automatic unlock in the Prestige menu. Ask the team to confirm how the point threshold applies to your character when you make the request.
You can also become a GM contributor through a reasonable donation. Contact the team on Telegram to agree the contribution and what the contributor role includes.
- Join the Telegram community and contact a GM about the route you are interested in.
- Give your character name, current completed-prestige count and point balance, and any relevant experience so staff can identify your character and discuss the request.
- For a contributor request, agree the contribution and role with the team. For a progression-based GM request, ask staff to verify your prestige-point eligibility and explain the next steps.
The GM Power Scroll is an equipment reward. Its name does not make the recipient a GM or grant staff permissions. Foreign skills likewise do not change your account's staff status. Read the prestige guide's GM and contributor explanation if you are comparing reward purchases with participation in the team.
When something gets in the way
Loading, recovery, and useful reports
The first load downloads client and game data. Later visits can reuse cached assets when browser storage is available. Clearing site data, switching browsers, or using private browsing can remove that advantage. Let an initial download finish before repeatedly refreshing the page.
- Read the displayed message. Note whether the problem concerns browser support, loading, sign-in, service connection, or a particular in-game action.
- Check your setup. Stay online, update Chrome or Edge, allow JavaScript and graphics acceleration, and close resource-heavy tabs before retrying.
- Use the offered recovery action. Follow the client's retry or sign-in prompts after a disconnect. A full restart may require signing in again.
- For a stuck conversation, try
@dispose. Reopen the NPC after actions are restored. For job advancement, close the conversation and use@advance. - For a client error, copy the crash report. Use the game's crash-report action and share the report with an administrator in the Telegram community.
Include your browser, device, map or encounter, the action you attempted, and the message shown. A clear sequence such as “opened the shop, selected this item, confirmed, then saw this error” is more useful than “the game broke.” The diagnostic report excludes account credentials, PIN, and chat; keep passwords and PINs out of screenshots and support messages too.
If a shop, quest, boss, or reward reports an eligibility problem, inspect that condition before trying unrelated fixes. Full inventory, wrong map, insufficient points, an active trade, or a party member outside a bracket can be valid rejections. Ask for help with the exact message if the reason is still unclear.
Common questions
Why do I see 10× or 20× EXP instead of the base 10×?
Below level 30, the base combat rate is capped at 5×. The starter 2× coupon makes that 10×. From 30 onward, a base 10× multiplied by the coupon is 20×. Check @showrates for your actual character.
Can I postpone advancement?
Yes. Choose Not now, close other conversations, and use @advance when ready. Its available options depend on your current job and level.
Do I get the starter bundle every time I sign in?
No. The bundle is granted when the character is created. Keep its limited items and expiration dates in mind while planning your first progression loop.
Can I solo every party quest because solo expeditions are enabled?
No. Ordinary PQs keep their installed party-size and level brackets. Solo expedition support changes qualifying expedition group sizes, and Papulatus has its own party-of-one entry route.
Will prestige make me a stronger level-200 character immediately?
Prestige resets you to 10 while preserving your build and giving a point. Its reward choices can improve your build, but the reset itself grants no automatic stat multiplier and repeated levels do not award fresh AP/SP or maximum HP/MP gains.
Can prestige help me solo end-game bosses?
Yes. Retained stats and skills, compatible permanent foreign-class skills, the equipment job unlock, and GM Power Scroll upgrades can help build a character capable of solo end-game fights. Entry requirements, status effects, counters, weapon compatibility, and preparation still matter. Follow the suggested boss route and read the multi-class build guidance; no purchase guarantees every solo clear.
Does more than 100 prestige points automatically make me a GM?
No. It lets a top-tier player request to become a GM by contacting a GM in Telegram. Staff handles the request and verifies how the threshold applies. A reasonable donation is also a route to discuss becoming a GM contributor. See the contact steps.
Does the equipment unlock let me use any item at any level?
It removes the class restriction. Current level, stat, fame, and other equipment requirements still apply. Read the equipment-unlock explanation before planning a cross-class build.
Where should I look when an event or shop changes?
Use current in-game notices and prices, check your rates, and follow the game changelog and community page. Ask an administrator in Telegram when a custom rule or event is unclear.
