How to play MapleStory in your browser
- Let the client load. A current desktop Chrome or Edge browser is recommended. The first visit downloads game data; later visits can reuse cached files.
- Create an account or sign in. Follow the login screen's account-creation instructions if you are new. Keep your password private.
- Choose your character and play. Click the game to focus it. For touch controls, play in landscape orientation.

Is MuahStory a MapleStory private server?
Yes. MuahStory is an independent community project offering classic GMS v83 gameplay through a browser client. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Nexon.
Do I need to download or install a game client?
You do not need a native installer or launcher. Your browser still downloads WebAssembly and game data, and can cache those files for future visits.
Can I start playing immediately?
The game starts loading automatically when you open this page. There is no marketing screen to dismiss. Follow the sign-in or account-creation instructions on the game login screen once the client is ready.
Can I play on a phone or tablet?
The client includes touch controls for landscape play. Your device needs the browser capabilities required by the game, and performance depends on the device. See the getting-started guide before playing.
