The core loop
Level 200 → level 10 → one point
At level 200, talk to the Maple Administrator in Henesys, toward the right side of town, and choose Prestige. Confirming returns your character to level 10 with 0 EXP, increases your completed prestige count by one, and gives you one spendable prestige point. You then earn EXP back to level 200 to repeat the cycle.
Your character keeps its class and earned progression. Prestige does not change your character into a beginner or automatically assign another job. Its long-term rewards come from the points you spend, rather than a fresh allocation of stats every time you repeat a level.
The level cap still applies to each leveling cycle, but your end-game progression continues through prestige purchases, multi-class skill combinations, equipment upgrades, and harder boss goals. Reaching 200 once is the start of that progression. Developing a character capable of soloing an end-game boss is a longer-term objective.
Prestiges earned and points available are different numbers. Spending a point reduces your available balance without undoing a completed prestige. These belong to the character using the menu; do not budget one character's points for another character on your account.
The reset always awards one point. There is no increasing point reward, automatic damage multiplier, or named prestige-rank ladder in the current reset rules.
Before you confirm
How to prestige, step by step
- Reach level 200. A character below 200 cannot perform the reset. Buying a reward and completing a reset are separate actions.
- Prepare your next route. Finish any activity that needs your current level. Keep potions and a compatible low-level weapon available, and consider how you will return to your training maps.
- Finish your trade and stay alive. Prestige resets and purchases are unavailable while you are defeated, while a trade is open, or when using a GM job.
- Talk to the Maple Administrator in Henesys. Find the NPC toward the right side of town. Open the Prestige conversation and read your completed count and available points. Choose the option describing level 200 to level 10 and one additional point.
- Read the confirmation, then accept. The reset keeps your class, skills, stats, AP, and SP. It also explains that repeated levels will not award additional AP, SP, or maximum HP/MP. Cancel if you are not ready to relevel.
- Check the result. Your level should be 10, your EXP 0, and both your completed count and available balance one higher. Choose a reward if you have a purchase planned, or save the point.
- Earn EXP again. Use your retained character build and an appropriate training route. Another reset becomes available after you reach 200 again.
The reset has no meso fee or required consumable in the current Prestige menu. If a save fails, follow the game's reconnect message before trying again. Repeated clicking is not a way to gain extra points.
Progress survives
Exactly what changes, and what stays
| Character state | After the reset |
|---|---|
| Level and EXP | Level 10 and 0 EXP. |
| Completed prestige count | Increases by one. |
| Spendable prestige points | Your existing balance plus one; the reset does not spend points. |
| Class and job stage | Retained. You do not repeat job advancement because of the reset. |
| Learned skills | Retained, including previously purchased prestige skills. |
| STR, DEX, INT, LUK, AP and SP | Retained, including points you have not spent. |
| Maximum HP and MP | Retained. Repeating old levels does not add another round of maximum HP/MP gains. |
| Mesos, items and equipment | Not deleted by the reset. Equipment eligibility remains subject to its requirements. |
| Quest progress and equipment unlock | Not cleared by the reset. A purchased all-class equipment unlock stays unlocked. |
| Earned ammunition eligibility | Retained through your highest previously reached level. |
Keeping a quest record or an item does not bypass the level checks used by a new quest, boss entrance, or equip action. Plan around your actual level of 10 after confirming, even though your retained stats and skills are much stronger than those of a new level 10 character.
Earn the next point
Repeated levels do not farm free stats
Your next 10-to-200 journey uses earned EXP. Because you already received the progression rewards for those levels, repeating them does not grant more AP, SP, maximum HP/MP, or another set of level-milestone inventory expansions. Prestige therefore rewards planning and point spending rather than repeated stat allocation.
Your current level also determines the early combat EXP rate: the base rate is 5× below level 30 and 10× from level 30 onward. A retained fourth-job class does not bypass that early-level rule. Coupons and other active modifiers can change your effective rate; use @rates and read the rate table when planning your next cycle.
Level Apples cannot skip the journey after your first prestige. Once a character has completed a reset, attempting to use a Level Apple is rejected and the apple is not consumed. This restriction stays in place during later cycles.
Recommendation: build a training route around the skills you already own, suitable weapons, and maps you can reach at your current level. Move upward as your level increases. Finish level-gated boss goals before a reset if doing them immediately afterward would require leveling again.
See the progression handbook for the wider leveling journey and the bossing guide for entrance requirements. An entry minimum is not a recommendation that every character at that level can safely defeat the boss.
Choose your investment
Prestige rewards and exact costs
| Reward | Cost | What you receive |
|---|---|---|
| One eligible foreign-class skill | 1 point | The chosen unlearned skill at its maximum level. Weapon and other skill conditions still matter. |
| All-class equipment unlock | 10 points | A permanent unlock for this character that removes equipment job restrictions. Other requirements remain. |
| World-map instant travel | 3 points, once | Permanently lets this character click World Map destination markers for immediate travel. The unlock survives prestige resets, channel changes, and reconnects. |
| One GM Power Scroll | 25 points | A Use item adding 1,000 weapon attack and 1,000 magic attack to one eligible equipment item. Keep one free Use slot. |
These costs do not rise with your completed prestige count. You can save points instead of purchasing after every reset. World-map travel stays unlocked when you change channels or reconnect. The menu has no refund option, so read the final skill or item confirmation before accepting.
How to unlock and use World Map travel
Talk to the Maple Administrator in Henesys, toward the right side of town, open Prestige, and choose Unlock world-map instant travel (3 points). Confirm the purchase to spend exactly 3 available prestige points. You buy it once for the character using the menu; an already unlocked character keeps the reward without paying again.
The reward becomes available immediately. While alive, open World Map and click a destination marker to travel there. Region links let you browse another part of the map before choosing a destination. The unlock is permanent for that character and remains available after prestige resets, channel changes, and reconnects.
Three useful budget examples
- Three foreign skills: 3 points total. Starting at zero, that is three completed reset cycles if all points come from leveling.
- Three skills plus equipment freedom: 3 + 10 = 13 points. Spending three early points leaves another ten to earn or save for the unlock.
- Equipment unlock plus one scroll: 10 + 25 = 35 points. Adding two skills brings the total to 37 points.
Recommendation: decide whether your immediate bottleneck is a missing skill, equipment access, or raw attack. Spending points on a reward you cannot use yet can delay the purchase that would help your next cycle most.
Broaden your build
Choose a foreign skill you can actually use
The skill menu organizes eligible choices into Explorers, Cygnus Knights, and Legends, then class families and individual skills. Only groups containing eligible choices appear. Use the menu's previous, next, and back options to compare choices before confirming the one-point purchase.
An offered skill must be unlearned and belong to another player class. Your own class's earlier and later job stages are excluded; a sibling branch can qualify. Beginner skills, GM skills, hidden skills, and party-quest skills are excluded from these rewards. The offered list is the authoritative set of choices for your character.
The chosen skill is granted at its maximum level, with its mastery set accordingly and no skill expiration. That does not change your job, automatically equip a weapon, or replace resources used by the skill. A skill icon in your book is the start of a build decision.
Check these before spending
- Weapon fit: plan for the weapon the attack or passive uses. A claw-dependent effect is not automatically useful with your current sword.
- Equipment access: if the compatible weapon belongs to another class, you may also need the ten-point equipment unlock and must still satisfy its level and stat requirements.
- Resource fit: keep the relevant MP, ammunition, and any other normal skill requirements available.
- Overlap: do not assume similar passives from different classes add together. Some equivalent effects use the strongest applicable learned effect.
- Controls: after purchase, bind the skill to a convenient key or mobile hotkey before depending on it in a difficult encounter.
For concrete weapon examples, claw-based venom needs a claw, dagger-based venom needs a dagger, and Mortal Blow applies to bow or crossbow attacks. Treat a cross-class build as a combination of skills, equipment, and consumables; purchasing every similar skill is not automatically the best use of points.
Progress toward an independent clear
Combine multi-class skills and prestige rewards for solo bossing
MuahStory's prestige rewards can turn a character built around one class into a more versatile solo boss build. You keep your actual job while learning eligible foreign-class skills. A useful combination can cover a weakness in your damage, survival, mobility, or resource management, while equipment rewards raise the strength of the gear supporting it. Together, these systems make solo end-game bossing a progression goal beyond your first level 200.
Choose a target encounter first. A build that trains quickly across a crowded map may need a different attack pattern or more reliable survival in a long boss fight. Use the complete bossing guide to understand the access requirements, fight stages, and preparation for your next target.
Build around compatible roles, rather than a list of class names
| Build role | What to look for | Check before buying |
|---|---|---|
| Sustained damage | An attack or applicable passive that supports your chosen weapon and the boss's target pattern. | Weapon requirements, range, MP use, ammunition, and whether you can keep attacking while reacting to mechanics. |
| Survival | An eligible defensive or recovery skill that helps address the failure you actually encounter. | Its activation conditions and what it protects against. Learning a defensive skill is not general immunity to boss mechanics. |
| Buff coverage | A compatible foreign buff that adds a useful effect your character currently lacks. | Whether the effect is active with your equipment and whether another buff replaces it. Similar effects do not automatically add together. |
| Position and uptime | A usable movement or utility skill that helps you return to a safe attacking position. | Its allowed conditions and your ability to activate it consistently with your keyboard or touch controls. |
| Equipment support | The ten-point all-class equipment unlock when a planned skill needs another class's gear. | Current level, stats, fame, equipment slots, and the skill's own weapon conditions still apply. |
| Attack upgrades | A 25-point GM Power Scroll applied to equipment you intend to keep. | One free Use slot for the purchase, an eligible target, and room under both item attack limits. |
A practical order for testing your build
- Establish a baseline. Fight a manageable boss with your existing skills. Notice whether you lose to incoming damage, a status effect, insufficient sustained damage, poor positioning, or running out of supplies.
- Choose one improvement. Compare the skills currently offered in the Prestige menu. Pick an eligible foreign skill that addresses the problem and works with your intended equipment.
- Learn and test it. Bind the skill, check its effect on a safer encounter, and compare its behavior alongside your existing buffs. Do this before using it as the foundation of an expensive build.
- Add equipment freedom when it serves the build. Save ten points if job restrictions block the weapon or equipment you need. The unlock is useful when it solves a real compatibility issue.
- Invest in permanent attack upgrades. Save 25 points for a scroll once you know which equipment will support your long-term bossing plan. Its bonus stays on that equipment; resetting does not create a new bonus automatically.
- Return to the target at an eligible level. After a reset, relevel and meet the boss's access requirements again. Work from a repeatable clear of a simpler encounter toward the end-game fight you want to solo.
For example, two eligible foreign skills, the equipment unlock, and one GM Power Scroll cost 37 points: 2 + 10 + 25. That is a budgeting example, not a required recipe or a promise that 37 points clears a particular boss. Your chosen skills, equipment, consumables, and execution determine how useful the investment is.
Keep the restrictions that matter in view: weapon-specific effects need the right weapon; overlapping passives or buffs may not stack; more attack does not remove an active damage-reflection effect. Pause the matching attacks until reflection ends. Solo expeditions permit entry with one player, but a successful solo clear still requires a build and a practiced plan.
For the encounter route and a supply checklist, continue to bossing from Papulatus to Pink Bean. For each purchase's exact behavior, review foreign skills, the equipment unlock, and GM Power Scrolls.
Two different permissions
Equipment freedom and retained ammunition
All-class equipment unlock: 10 points
The ten-point unlock permanently removes equipment job restrictions for this character. It does not remove the item's level, STR, DEX, INT, LUK, fame, or slot requirements. It also does not make an incompatible weapon satisfy a skill's weapon condition.
The reset does not delete equipment or remove your inventory possessions. However, you have no general level 200 equipment exemption after returning to level 10. Equip actions still check your current level. Recommendation: prepare a compatible low-level weapon before resetting, and do not assume you can take off and immediately re-equip every high-level item.
Keep the ammunition eligibility you earned
Ammunition has a separate rule: a character that has prestiged retains its highest earned level for ammunition eligibility. Thus a completed level 200 character does not lose earned eligibility for higher-level stars and bullets merely because it returns to level 10.
Examples include Crystal Ilbi Throwing Stars' level 50 condition and Hwabi Throwing Stars or Balanced Fury's level 70 condition. You still need the compatible weapon and actual ammunition. Retained ammunition eligibility does not make a gun use throwing stars or substitute for an empty Use inventory.
The equipment and ammunition handbook covers the wider upgrade path. Keep these rules separate when planning a foreign ranged skill: job permission, current equipment requirements, retained ammunition eligibility, and skill weapon conditions each answer a different question.
A major attack upgrade
How a GM Power Scroll works
Spend 25 points to receive one GM Power Scroll in your Use inventory. The purchase requires one free Use slot. The name describes the special item; buying it does not grant a GM job or administrator privileges.
Applying one scroll adds 1,000 weapon attack and 1,000 magic attack to the chosen equipment item. It succeeds at 100%, does not consume an upgrade slot, and does not increase the item's scroll level. Equipment with no remaining upgrade slots, accessories, and NX equipment are supported.
- Choose the equipment you intend to keep. The bonus belongs to that item. Compare the benefits before applying a costly reward.
- Check both attack values. Neither weapon attack nor magic attack may exceed 32,767 after the addition. Either value above 31,767 prevents another scroll from applying.
- Apply the scroll to the equipment. Targets may be equipped or in your Equip inventory. This special scroll does not require Legendary Spirit for an Equip-inventory target.
- Check the resulting item stats. One successful application consumes one scroll and adds both bonuses. White Scroll protection is unnecessary and is not consumed by this upgrade.
For example, equipment with 150 weapon attack and 20 magic attack becomes 1,150 and 1,020 after one application. An item at exactly 31,767 in either attack value can receive the bonus and reach 32,767. If either value is already 31,768, another application would exceed the limit and is rejected without consuming the scroll.
Recommendation: prefer an item that fits your longer-term build rather than a temporary training piece. A larger item attack value does not itself bypass skill, equipment, or boss-entry conditions.
Do not confuse the apples
Prestige Apples add points; Level Apples add levels
A Prestige Apple is a tradeable Use item created by a GM. An ordinary player holding one can consume it for one spendable prestige point. It does not reset your level or EXP, increase your completed prestige count, change your class, or create retained ammunition eligibility.
Prestige Apples are not a normal monster-drop or shop source of points. Do not build a leveling plan around receiving them: availability and distribution depend on administrators. When you do receive one, use it while alive and outside a trade. An expired or unavailable apple cannot be consumed, and a failed save does not complete the point-and-item exchange.
A Level Apple instead advances a level under its normal rules, but is rejected after that character's first prestige. Receiving points from a Prestige Apple is different from completing a prestige reset; the apple changes only your spendable balance.
If you have completed four resets, spent three points, and then consume two Prestige Apples, your menu shows four prestiges earned and three points available. The apples add currency, not two additional completed cycles.
Recommendations, not extra requirements
Build a sustainable endgame routine
Choose your next reward before resetting, but keep your route flexible. A useful first skill may speed up the next cycle; equipment freedom can make a planned weapon possible; a scroll is a much larger savings goal. These are build choices, not a required purchase order.
- Before reset: finish desired level-gated activities, decide what gear you will use at level 10, restock consumables, and note your count and balance.
- Before a skill purchase: check its class source, weapon fit, overlapping effects, and any extra equipment-unlock cost.
- Before a scroll purchase: keep a free Use slot, choose the intended equipment, and confirm both attack values can accept another 1,000.
- After reset: check level and EXP, bind new skills, use the appropriate training route, and return to the Administrator at 200.
Current server settings allow solo expeditions and disable the optional daily expedition-entry limits. Entrance NPCs still check access items and level requirements, and another group may already occupy the instance. Cody's boss items provide specific prequest or trial shortcuts; the bossing handbook explains which item supports each route. Prestige does not add a weekly boss quota or a custom boss tier ladder.
Use the bossing handbook to choose an encounter suited to your character. Prestige points are earned through the reset or supplied by Prestige Apples; defeating a boss is not, by itself, an additional prestige-point reward.
Keep building your place in the community
GM requests and GM contributor opportunities
Top-tier players who have reached more than 100 prestige points can request to become a GM by contacting a GM in the MuahStory Telegram community. This is a request to staff, rather than an automatic unlock in the Prestige menu.
You can also become a GM contributor through a reasonable donation. Contact the team on Telegram to agree the contribution and contributor role.
The player handbook's GM and contributor section explains how to contact staff. Purchasing a GM Power Scroll or consuming a Prestige Apple does not itself grant a GM role.
Quick answers
Prestige FAQ
Is level 200 the end of MuahStory?
No. Level 200 opens prestige. Compatible multi-class skills and equipment rewards let you keep developing your character and work toward solo end-game bosses across later leveling cycles.
Can prestige make solo end-game bosses possible?
Yes. Combining compatible foreign-class skills with prestige equipment rewards can make those solos possible. Choose a target, solve your build's weaknesses, practice its mechanics, and meet its entrance requirements; a prestige count alone is not a guaranteed clear.
Can I prestige before level 200?
No. The reset requires level 200. Reward purchases use available points and do not perform a reset.
Do I lose my class, skills, items, or mesos?
The reset retains them. Level becomes 10 and EXP becomes 0. Current equipment and activity requirements still apply.
Can I gain more AP and SP by repeating the same levels?
No. Repeated levels do not award another round of AP, SP, maximum HP/MP, or level-milestone inventory expansion rewards.
Does prestiging make every attack stronger immediately?
The reset itself does not grant a damage multiplier. Improvements come from the rewards you purchase and how they fit your equipment and skills.
Must I spend my point immediately?
No. Save points for a later skill, the ten-point permanent equipment unlock, or a 25-point scroll. Spending changes your available balance, not your completed count.
Does the equipment unlock let me equip any level item?
No. It removes job restrictions. Level, stats, fame, and equipment-slot requirements remain.
Do I need to earn high-level ammunition eligibility again?
A character that has prestiged retains its highest earned level for ammunition eligibility. It still needs the appropriate weapon and ammunition.
Can I use Level Apples after my first reset?
No. They are rejected without consumption. Earn EXP to reach 200 again.
Can a normal player use a Prestige Apple or GM Power Scroll?
Yes. Prestige Apples can be consumed by ordinary holders, and the Prestige menu sells GM Power Scrolls to eligible player characters. Neither grants administrator access.
Why are my points and prestige count different?
Purchases reduce your point balance; Prestige Apples increase it without increasing your completed count. The two numbers measure different things.
